Cedar Breaks National Monument

Cedar Breaks National Monument is only about 45 minutes from the KOA in Cedar City where we were camped.  Since we still had a couple of hours of daylight left, we decided to go up to Cedar Breaks before heading home.

We drove east on Hwy 14 again (the same road we took to Bryce Canyon).  Remember seeing this on the Bryce Canyon post?

As we turned onto Hwy 148, we could see more snow.

Within just a few miles, we reached Cedar Breaks National Monument.

We walked out to Point Supreme, the overlook for the Cedar Breaks.  At 10,350 feet it was very cold.  39 degrees cold!  Brrrr!

The view from Point Supreme was....supreme!

The rock formations reminded us of the hoodoos in Bryce Canyon.

We could see some animal tracks in the snow below.  Maybe a mountain goat??

Below is a video clip taken from the Point Supreme overlook.

Another long day, but it was a spectacular day!
