On to Atlanta and a Chocolate Surprise!

We left Nashville on Tuesday morning around 8:30 CST and arrived at Stone Mountain 5 hours later at 2:30 EST.  The drive was uneventful and no rain but the pollen got thicker and thicker as we got closer to Atlanta.  In some places, we could see it blowing out of the trees along the interstate like greenish-yellowish smoke.  We would close our windows to keep it from coming in.  We really don't want any more sinus infections if we can help it!

The traffic wasn't too bad except for one spot along the I-285.  When we were traveling along I-285, we saw this car out in front of us with what looked like a bicyle helmet perched on a tower on top of the roof of the car.

As we got closer, we realized it was a Google car and the bicycle helmet was actually a camera.  It is so amazing to me that you can use Google to get maps of almost anywhere and get not just satellite images but pictures of almost any address you enter.

I guess we could become a Google driver too with a camera on top of the motorhome except we probably knock the camera off the first bridge we came too! :)

After we got set up, we drove to Avery and Hannah's day care.  Crystal had called us earlier to see if we wanted to meet her there to surprise Avery.  We arrived before Crystal and watched Avery playing with the other children outside while we sat in the car.  When we saw Crystal arrive, we got out and walked to the gate.  Avery and the other children were lined up for a race on the other side of the play area.  As soon as she saw us, she took off running to us and beat all the other children in the race.  Of course, Pa commented on how she won the race!  :)

We then went to Crystal and Grant's for dinner and met Krystle and Kellen who are living upstairs at Crystal and Grant's house while their house is being renovated.  We played with Hannah and Avery before dinner.  Hannah is crawling everywhere and almost walking.  In fact, Hannah has discovered she can use this tea kettle as a walker.  :)

We had a delicious tortellini dinner and for dessert, we had a delicious chocolate cake that Krystle had made.  It was S-O-O-O GOOD!!!

After I had eaten every morsel of my piece, I asked Krystle about the recipe because it was so moist and so delicious.  Crystal told me that Krystle had put a secret ingredient in the cake that makes it so moist and so good.  We couldn't guess what it was so she had to tell us.  You know what it was?  Beets!  I couldn't believe it.  I HATE beets.  But I guess now I have to say I love beets...so long as they are in a chocolate cake!  :)

When we got back to the camper Wednesday evening, the electricity went out a couple of times but apparently only for a few seconds because when we would look outside, everyone else's lights were on.  In our usual "what's wrong now" way of thinking, we wondered if there was a problem with something on the electrical of the camper or the surge protector or the pole we were plugged into.  And then Chuck didn't sleep that well concerned about the electric.  However, we didn't have any more problems and he lost sleep for no reason...hopefully!

Crystal called us Thursday morning and invited us to meet her for lunch at Taqueria del Sol in Decatur.  We had a very nice lunch with her and then went to Wal-mart to get some groceries.  We went back over to Crystal and Grant's that evening to babysit Hannah and Avery while they went to their community group meeting.

I told Avery that evening I wanted to take her picture.  Say "C-H-E-E-S-E!"

And then we had about 15 Easter Egg hunts in the living room with Pa being one of the places to hide Easter eggs.  (Notice the egg hidden in Chuck's shoelace.)

Another fun evening at the Robinsons!  And when Crystal and Grant returned from their community group, Crystal and I split the last piece of Krystle's delicious chocolate beet cake!  :)
