A visit to The Villages and a little recreation

On Friday, we took Donald & Anna to The Villages which are only about an hour south of Silver Springs.  The Villages is known for its "active-lifestyle" residents, all the recreational opportunities, and all the golf carts that people drive all over the community.

It was a good day for a day trip because it was cloudy and a little too cool to do much outside.
We parked on the Spanish Springs Town Square and walked over to Ay Jalisco for lunch.  We had been to this restaurant last year with Ken and Bonnie and remembered having some very good mexican food.  The service was a little slow because they didn't have enough servers but the food was very good.

After lunch we drove through The Villages so they could see some of the homes, the golf courses, the recreational facilities and all the golf carts.  While we were this far south, we decided to drive on to the south end of The Villages and take them to check out Alliance Coach where we have had our RV serviced the past couple of years. We showed them all the service bays and the campground.  They even found a lightbulb for their refrigerator in the Parts Department that they had not been able to find anywhere else.

After a quick stop at Wal-Mart we headed back home and called it a day.  Chuck was coming down with a cold or sinus infection like what Donald & Anna had been fighting all week.  I fed him some chicken noodle soup and put him to bed.  He slept for 12 hours and slept a hour or so more after breakfast.  That was a lot of sleeping but I think it helped him because, except for a crick in his neck, he felt better Saturday afternoon.

He felt so much better that we met Donald & Anna at the Recreation Hall in Wilderness.  We played a best 2 out of 3 in Ping Pong and Pool.  Donald & Anna beat Chuck and me in Ping Pong.  Chuck & Anna beat Donald & me in pool.   I'm getting better at Ping Pong but I've got a lot to learn in pool.  :)

For dinner, we decided to try China Lee's Buffet.  Anna and I feasted on their all-you-can-eat crab legs (as well as the rest of the buffet) while the guys stuck to just the main buffet.  After probably eating too much, Chuck and Donald walked around the car show that was being held in the parking lot of the strip mall where China Lee's was located.  Then we went back to Donald & Anna's to play a game of SkipBo which Donald & I won.  :)

And now, before we go, a word from our sponsor...Vicked Puffs.  Normally, I always buy the Kleenex brand of tissue that comes with aloe and lotion.  Anna gave us some of her Puff's Tissue that come with Vicks in the tissue to try.  I call them Vicked Puffs.  If your nose is congested, inhale one of these tissues and you'll be breathing better in no time.  Vicked Puffs are the only tissue I know that make you want to inhale rather than blow your nose.
