We left Carrabelle by 9 am on Monday and by 2:30 we were back at Alliance Coach in Wildwood. While we were disconnecting the car, our service adviser who happened to be out on the lot with another customer came over to speak to us. We showed him where the repaired slide-out had not been caulked and he said someone would be out tomorrow morning to take care of it.
For dinner, we decided to go to Red Lobster. We have not been to Red Lobster in a long time because, even though their food is usually always good, it can be expensive. However, their "endless shrimp" special was going on; and at $15.99, it was one of the least expensive things on the menu. This was good and bad and good. The shrimp was delicious as well as those buttery garlic cheese biscuits, which was good. :) The "endless" part of the meal was bad for a healthy diet because we ate too much. :( But we did have enough leftovers to have along with a salad for dinner tomorrow night which was good. :)
Our service adviser and a tech were at our motorhome around 8 Tuesday morning. The tech caulked everywhere we asked him to and by 10:30 he was done. We just needed to let the caulking set and dry now for 24 hours.
I talked with Bonnie on the phone this morning and are SO GLAD she and Ken are now on their way to Florida. We can't wait to see them on Sunday! Safe travels!!
About 5 pm, we went for a 3 mile walk around Alliance...
...and down to and around the Sparr Farm Supply store parking lot about 5 or 6 times. While we were walking, we noticed this old dead tree covered in Spanish moss that was kind of cool-looking...
and looks even better at dusk.
From this picture, you can see the campground behind Alliance (and our motorhome).
It's nothing fancy but they provide 50 amp electric and water at no cost while you're having work done there.
We enjoyed our leftover shrimp and a salad for dinner. And a little bit later, Chuck noticed we had a full moon tonight.
When I went outside to take the above picture, I realized that we had just missed a beautiful sunset. I did get the picture of the old tree above as well as these pictures of the full moon.
There is a lunar eclipse scheduled to occur early tomorrow (Oct. 8th) morning. Unfortunately, the moon will already have set here in Wildwood during the fullest part of the eclipse so we will miss it.
Tomorrow, we head an hour down the road to Orlando Thousand Trails.
We are in Florida and settled in at the Suwannee Campground near the intersection of Interstates 10 and 75. We will stay here until we head to Lazydays on Friday. We are so excited to see you on Sunday. We are so close, yet so far!!!!!
