Another Fun Day at Pine Island

Friday morning began with our 3rd round of pickleball.  It was kind of cloudy and even misted a little bit but that didn't stop us from playing pickleball for a couple of hours.  It is so much fun and I think we are getting better all the time.  We would love to play every day but it's probably smart that we give our bodies a rest from pickleball every other day.

When we returned to the motorhome, Chuck worked on our rear a/c to try to determine where a rattling sound is coming from.  It is working fine it just makes this rattling noise when it is on like something is vibrating or is loose up there.  He duct-taped a loose piece that had been the source of the noise in the past and checked up on the roof but we still have not been able to figure out the source of the noise.  Fortunately, the a/c is still working.

After lunch, we went for a bike ride with Ken & Bonnie and Neil & Nancy.  We rode down towards Saint James City...

...and road through some of the communities that had canals for their backyards.

We rode all the way back to this one subdivision and found this big pond...

...with a lot of birds on and around it.

Nancy pointed out these beautiful little pink and yellow flowers.

The P.I.B.s -- Pine Island Bikers.  :)

There were some big homes along some of the canals in the back...

...and also some vacant lots for sale backing up to the canal.

Next, we rode our bikes to the Low Key Tiki Hut that also backs up to a canal.

We enjoyed sitting there talking and enjoying the beautiful weather and a cold drink.

The weather was nice but the sun was getting hot...

...so we headed back to the campground and went to the pool for a little while.

Later that evening, Bonnie and Ken came over to play cards.  Chuck and Ken won the best 2 out of 3 games of Sequence Dice.  We started a game of 5 Crowns when the television went off because the GFI kicked.  I tried resetting it and the GFI kept kicking off.  We tried everything:  turning the inverter breaker off and on, turning the main breaker off and on, disconnecting the power to the camper, and turning the battery disconnects off and on.  Nothing worked.  Not only could we not use a lot of our plugs and the front television would not work, our refrigerator would not work.  So Chuck and Ken had to run an extension cord outside from the refrigerator to another plug on the back of the camper to run the refrigerator.

About 30 minutes after they came back in and we resumed our game, I tried the GFI again and it worked and has continued working since then.  Crazy!!!  The only thing we can figure is that a small night light that I had plugged into the GFI plug maybe overheated and caused it to trip.  Who knows?  But its working fine now and the girls beat the guys in points in 5 Crowns so we all went to bed winners!  :)
