North to Middle Newfoundland

We left fairly early Wednesday morning because we were driving all the way back to Deer Lake.  We still had not decided whether we were going to go to the east side of Newfoundland so Deer Lake was a good place to stop overnight and make that decision.

I  had hoped to get some more pictures of the mountains on the way back but the weather didn’t cooperate.

It rained most of the day and my “point and click” camera would tend to focus on the raindrops on the windshield…

…rather than the mountains in the clouds.

Originally, I had wanted to stop at Gros Morne RV Park for another couple of nights so we could maybe do a couple of small hikes.  But the weather was going to be wet and rainy so there wasn’t much point in doing that.
The trip back across the Gros Morne mountains was still beautiful even with the rain.

We stayed at Gateway to the North RV Park in Deer Lake where there was full hookups AND 50 amp service.  Yippee!  We get to dump and do laundry.
