On to Three Rivers

We left San Benito RV Park in Paicines, California, around 8:30 this morning.  It probably took us 15-20 minutes just to get back to the main road but it is still amazing to see all the farm land, orchards, and vineyards everywhere.

One interesting thing that Heather told us yesterday when we told her where we were staying is that Paicines is right on the San Andreas Fault.  Yep!  I think it's time to go!  :)

When we got closer to I-5, there was a lot of crosswinds blowing through the hills and we got another look at the San Luis Reservoir.

Except for just a few miles on I-5 where the pavement had been stripped back and needed re-paving, the roads were fairly smooth and the traffic was minimal.  We traveled down I-5 and then drove across Hwy 198 all the way to Kaweah RV Park in Three Rivers.  The farm land was just as abundant here as it was in Paicines.

We also drove around Lake Kaweah which, like all the other lakes in California, is way lower than normal.

Kaweah RV Park is a small park located on the banks of where it looks likes three rivers come together.  We can see one of the streams right outside our windshield.

After getting all set up, we enjoyed the warmer weather sitting outside by the stream.

Ken and Bonnie decided to try a game of tether ball.

We both grilled tonight and enjoyed a dinner together outside in the nice weather.

Tomorrow, we head in to Sequoia National Park to see some more BIG TREES!  :)
