On to Daytona

We got ready to leave for Daytona Beach early this morning because we had about a 5 hour drive ahead of us.  Coincidentally, Ken and Bonnie were packed up and leaving for their next destination at the same time.  With our cars hooked up to our motorhomes, we looked like we were heading out on a caravan.

We said our good-byes and are looking forward to being with Ken and Bonnie for another week in March at Eustis.

We had a windy but non-eventful (or so we thought) drive to Ormond Beach until Chuck discovered that the center "hubcap" of our front wheel had fallen out probably along a very rough Interstate 4 through Orlando.

This is what it is supposed to look like.  Now we have to figure out where to get one of these.

After getting all set up in our campsite, we decided to drive down to where we walked and biked several times last year in Ormond Beach along the Halifax River.  Even though the temperature was a little cool, the sun was out and the wind was blocked by the houses on the other side of the street.

We really had not planned on walking the entire 10,000 steps, but before we knew we it, we had walked 4,000 steps and decided we might as well go to 5,000 so we would get the entire 10,000 steps done by the time we walked back to the car.

We're looking forward to spending time with Donald & Anna, Karen & Kevin, and Sheila & Kip over the next week at Daytona and wishing them safe travels as they head south.
