After leaving Forest City, we made an overnight stop in
Mitchell, South Dakota. Our
granddaughters may not realize it, but they travel with us wherever we go.
Sometimes when we go over bumpy roads, Emmaline and Avery fall down because they haven't learned how to stand up or walk yet. :)
As we entered South Dakota, the plains got wider and wider.

We filled up with diesel before going to our campsite for
the night. Diesel was cheaper than
gasoline. We haven't seen that in 20 years
or so. Also, the Regular gas was higher than the Plus gas.
After getting set up at the R&R Campground in Mitchell, SD, we drove by the Corn Palace...
...and then went to dinner at a local mexican restaurant
which was pretty good. After dinner, we
drove back by the Corn Palace so we could see it all lit up at night.
I had seen the Corn Palace when I was a little girl and it
was just about like I remembered it.
