After leaving Springfield, we crossed the Mississippi
River...
headed into Iowa.
I found a Corp of Engineers campground (Sugar Bottom) that had
some campsites with full hookups on Coralville Lake near North Liberty, Iowa,
where we stopped for a few nights. Our
site was nice...
with some partial views of the lake.
The campground has over 250 sites, but most of them are
electric only.
We got our 10,000 steps in both days we were there and
walked down to the beach where there was a better view of the lake.
We talked with some of the very nice and friendly
workcampers who worked at the campground.
While the campground was nearly empty, they said that in the summer it
stays busy.
