On to Sea Pines NJ

We left Hershey Preserves CG around 8 am to drive to Sea Pines Thousand Trails near Avalon, New Jersey, where we would be spending the week with Ken and Bonnie and Fred and Dolores.  They have been to Sea Pines many times and really like the park and the close proximity to the beach in Avalon.

We drove some of the same areas including Lancaster that we had driven through previously when we had gone on the Amish Tour with Bonnie's mom.  Then, we began heading southeast towards Delaware and New Jersey.

After crossing into Delaware, one of the roads were blocked that Ken and Bonnie would normally take to New Jersey so we ended up going through downtown Delaware.  We pulled off at a WaWa store just to double-check the direction we needed to go to get back on the road to take us across to New Jersey and it was a good thing we did.  We found a screw in one of the tires of the Honda.  We had noticed we had a slow leak previously but had not seen anything in it.  Chuck added some air to the tire since it was a slow leak and we felt safe enough to tow it the rest of the way and get it fixed in New Jersey.

After getting back on the road, we crossed the Delaware Memorial Bridge...

...over the Delaware River.

We arrived at Sea Pines around 12:15 pm and Dolores and Fred were there to greet us.  After getting checked in, we picked out our sites and then drove to them and got all set up.  These sites are fairly level with full hookups and very shady.

Fred and Dolores and Ken and Bonnie are just across the street.

We decided to go for a walk around the campground (which is huge) but first stopped at the miniature golf course.  The women took on the men in what was the first of many competitive games for the week and won!  We got together later to eat dinner together and then finished the night with a game of SkipBo and Up the River (which is very similar to 7-Up).  The women won both of those games too!  I'd say this week is off to a great start!  :)
