Heading North - First Stop - Champaign, IL

On Thursday morning, we left Nashville Jellystone around 8:45 and begin heading north on I-24.  We didn't run into any rain or traffic issues and traveled all the way to Champaign, Illinois, stopping at D&W Lake Camping & RV Park around 3:45.

The campground is on the northeast side of Champaign and is located right off of I-57.  It is a very nice little campground and we had an easy pull-through spot on the end of a row.

We sat outside for a little bit and even went for a walk around the lake.  Since Chuck and I both have had sore throats since Tuesday morning which have gotten progressively worse, we just ate chicken noodle soup for supper which feels very good on a sore throat.

After dinner, I tried to get some sunset pictures across the lake but the sun had already gone down too far.

My "dusk" pictures turned out pretty well.  This is one of the tent sites.

I even got the moon (the tiny little white speck at the top) in this picture.

The water was so still that the reflections in the water were near perfect.  You almost can't tell which is the sky and which is the water.

We both took Nyquil hoping our sore throats would feel better in the morning and went to sleep by a little after 10.
