While Chuck fished,
I sat in my beach chair and enjoyed my morning coffee. :)
It was such a nice morning for fishing and watching people fish. :)
Chuck was not getting any bites so we moved down the beach to where there was a sand bar that Chuck could walk out on and cast further out.
And in no time at all, Chuck caught his first flounder.
Flounders are funny looking fish that swim sideways and lay flat on the ocean bottom. This is the bottom side of the flounder.
Chuck went back to fishing and caught another small whitey before we headed back to the camper for lunch.
Chuck worked on the exterior bottom of the slideout again where the glue had come loose. Hopefully, it sticks better this time. And then we worked on our Splendide washer/dryer because it wasn't drying properly. He cleaned out the machine's pump pre-chamber and I got a small amount of lint out of the dryer vent. I washed and dried a small load of clothes and it seemed to work better.
The rest of the afternoon was kind of a lazy afternoon but then we went back to the beach later that afternoon. It was much more windy and overcast then and there were very few people on the beach.
And the surf was much stronger. We enjoyed sitting and watching the waves and the tide come in.
Another nice day at Hatteras, NC. :)
