A Very Busy Month in Nashville

Our month in Nashville began with a trip to Cullum & Maxey where we had a spring fixed on our toilet that had broken the last weekend we were in Atlanta.  They had it fixed within a couple of hours and we got set up on our monthly site #703 at Nashville Jellystone next door.

We had several different doctor and dentist appointments that we took care of while we were in town and fortunately, everything that was checked out was A-OK.  :)

We enjoyed a lot of good eatin' while we were in Nashville.  Probably too much!  All the Gregorys met at Fletcher's Pizza the first Tuesday we were back and enjoyed some delicious pizza and getting caught up on each others' lives.  For the entire month, we ate either at my mom's or out to eat with someone so much that I don't think we had more than maybe one dinner at our motorhome!

Our first couple of weeks in Nashville, we walked 5 miles just about every day at nearby Opry Mills which was a good thing considering how much good food we were eating!  We found some pickleball courts at Charlie Daniels Recreation Park in Mt. Juliet and played outside a couple of mornings just the two of us.

Then, we decided to try playing pickleball indoors at the gym at Charlie Daniels Park and we had so much fun.  We played three mornings and wished we could play some more.  We met a lot of nice people and improved our game some too.

We took mama to Atlanta for the weekend of the 15th so we could all go to Bell's first ballet recital.  On Saturday morning, we all went to Waffle House for breakfast.

Before going to Bell's recital, I took Avery and Hannah to the park to play for a little while.

And then we all went to Bell's recital.

All the little ballerinas did so well.  The entire recital lasted about an hour and was very well done.

They handed out roses to all the dancers after the recital.

I think Bell's sisters Ruby and Emmaline and cousin Avery enjoyed her ballet recital too.

There was a very nice reception after the recital with a lot of good food that had been provided by the parents.  Wow!!!

We had such a nice weekend with all the Robinsons and Van Wyngardens.

Our niece, Lauren Gregory, also had a choral performance that Rick and Marla had invited us to attend while we were in town.  She is a junior at Cumberland University majoring in music.  Her solo performance was so good.  We didn't understand a word they were singing because the entire choral performance was in Latin but we certainly understood what a beautiful voice she has.

We enjoyed several evenings of card-playing at Donald and Anna's and even went to one of Erica's rec volleyball games.  We may have embarrassed Erica just a little bit by being the only people there to watch the game.  And we may have made it just a little bit worse by doing a four person wave.  :)

Last week, we visited with our long-time friends, Brenda and JD.  They grilled some delicious hamburgers for lunch and we enjoyed chatting and visiting for most of the afternoon.  The next day we were treated to dinner out with my former boss and his wife, John and Margie Maher.

Our month in Nashville ended with another trip to Cullum & Maxey to have a circuit board on the energy distribution panel replaced.  We sure were glad we were in Nashville when these repairs needed to be made.  They had to keep the motorhome for a few days so it was nice to be able to stay at my mom's.  Thanks, Mom!

It's been a very busy month but a very enjoyable month with our family and friends and fun and way too much good food!  :)
