On to Delaware Water Gap

Since we had over 300 mile to travel today, we were up early and on the road by 7:20 this morning.  We hooked and drove in the rain for the first couple of hours.

But the rains let up and the leaves began to brighten our way.

Sometimes we put on a little Waylon Jennings to brighten the way too.  :)  Why don't you ride with us for a few minutes?

We had traveled south on I-91 but when we reached Hartford, Connecticut, we began heading west on I-84 through New York and into Pennsylvania.

As soon as were in Pennsylvania, we got off at Exit 1 and began heading south on Hwy 209 throug the Delaware Water Gap National Recreation Area.

With only one stop for about 10 minutes at a rest stop in New York and a couple of slowdowns in New York, we arrived at the campground a little after 2 pm.  We got checked in and got set up in our sites before it began raining again.

We rode over with Ken and Bonnie to the visitor center at the Delaware Water Gap and got some information on hiking trails in the Gap.  The leaves are perfect and we are looking forward to some more hiking and biking in PA on our All-American Leaf Tour.  :)
