After a two hour drive and driving through Ocala National Forest, we arrived at Wilderness RV Park Estates in Silver Springs a little after 2 pm. We were given site #105 in the Preserve and were treated to a beautiful sunset Monday evening.
When we were walking around the campground on New Years Eve, we saw Marc and Rhea that we had met when we were here in January. They invited us over for a moose fondue dinner that was absolutely delicious! We had such a wonderful evening with them. We were treated to some of Marc's smoked salmon that was SO GOOD. My mouth starts watering just thinking about how delicious the dinner was. :)
On New Year's Day, I tackled one of my the projects on my "to do" list of scanning all the campground maps and brochures I have been saving since we began full-timing. It took a couple of hours but I got them all scanned in so I could throw away about 5 pounds of brochures.
Chuck worked on his monthly motorhome maintenance tasks and watched several football bowl games.
We have decided to get the spray-on roof treatment done by RVRoof.com and will be traveling back to Green Cove Springs tomorrow to get the work done. Since we cannot stay in the motorhome while the work is being done, we will be playing tourist around St. Augustine, which is a place we have wanted to visit anyways.
We will also be looking for a dentist because Chuck just lost part of a tooth that had a big filling in it. Fun...fun. Hopefully, we will find someone and Chuck can get his tooth taken care of while the roof is being installed on the motorhome.
