A Little Further North

As you can tell from this summer's posts, we haven't had much luck this year finding cooler weather.  So, what do we do?  We keep heading north.  I found an RV Park in Pulaski, NY, that was about 120 miles north that also has a 12 hole golf course.  Sounds like a winner to us!

We drove up the eastern side of Senaca Lake where we saw lots and lots of vineyards.

As we neared the northern end of the lake, Seneca Lake seemed to stretch out in every direction.

We stayed on Hwy 14 through the town of Geneva and on up to I-90 where we headed east until we reach I-81.  There were a lot of marshes and pretty purple wildflowers.

Once we reached I-81, we headed north, stopping for fuel at Exit 34, and then getting off at Exit 35 where we headed east about 1/2 mile to Streamside Golf & RV Park.  What we could see of the golf course as we entered the park looked nice but very narrow.  We got set up on our site.

Later that afternoon, we decided to play a round of golf.  We didn't start playing until about 5 pm but since it is only 12 holes, we felt like we would have plenty of time to get it in.

Chuck, hitting from the men's tee box, had to hit
that little white ball way over all those marshes!
He made it!
Golf cart path.
Trying to line up to hit my ball in the right direction.
The wind-up!
"Over the river and through the woods...
to the next tee box we go."
Yep, that's our RV.  The campground is in the middle of
the golf course surrounded by trees which could still be
a little too close the way we hit balls!
We finished playing around 8 pm and still had plenty of light.  Since tonight was "wing night" at the Divots Restaurant located on the premises, we decided to treat ourselves to some wings.  They had about 8 different flavors.  Our favorites were the Kickin' Bourbon and Teriyaki.

Nice day of driving...both on the road and on the golf course!  :)
