We have always wanted to go to the big Tampa RV Show in
January so as soon as we left Atlanta, that is where we headed.
We went to the show on Wednesday, Thursday and Friday. We looked around at some of the new motorhomes
but spent most of our time looking at all the new items and new ideas from the
different vendors. The show was
definitely the biggest RV show we had ever been to.
On the way to and from the RV show, we drove by this tree
with these beautiful orange flowers that made it look like the tree was almost
on fire:
Since where we were camping was so close to the Parkesdale
Farm Market, we also went there a couple of times for delicious strawberry
shortcake.
After we left Tampa, we drove to Themeworld RV Resort in
Davenport where we have stayed several times before so we could visit Montie
and Ann for a few days. While we were
there, we drove over to Polk City one day and rode our bikes on the General
James Van Fleet Bike Trail:
Like many of the bike trails we have been on, this bike
trail was constructed over an old railroad bed.
The trail was flat, paved, and easy to peddle on.
Because it was so flat, we kept asking each other "how
far do you want to go" keeping in mind that however far we rode out, we would
have to ride that far back. 5
miles? 7 miles? 8 miles?
How about 10 miles?
After reaching the 10 mile mark, we turned around and
stopped at a bench for some water and a little rest.
By the time we got back to the car, we had rode our bikes
our longest distance ever: 20
miles!
