On to Arizona

When we were getting ready to leave Dreamcatcher Escapees RV Park, we noticed a beautiful rainbow to the west.

After stopping around Exit 24 on I-10 in New Mexico to fill up with fuel, we came upon our skaters again.  Those girls are amazing!

New Mexico has some beautiful bridge railings and I finally got a picture of one of them.

We stopped at a rest area about 70 miles after we crossed into Arizona that had the most unusual rocks.

Chuck and I had remembered seeing them when we were in Arizona in 2013 but they still are pretty weird looking.

We gained another hour when we crossed into Arizona because it is one of the few states that does not change to daylight time.  So, even though Arizona is on Mountain Time, the state does not "spring forward" an hour to Mountain Daylight Time like the rest of the states in the Mountain Time Zone.  In other words, Mountain Standard Time is the same as Pacific Daylight Time.  Confused?  So are we.  We can't even keep up with what day it is much less what time it is.  :)

It took us 4 hours (or was it really 3 hours since we gained an hour) to get to the KOA Campground at LazyDays in Tucson.  We got checked in and after quite of bit of leveling, got parked on our sites and all set up.

Our reason for stopping at LazyDays is so that Ken and Bonnie can (hopefully) finally get their slide fixed on their motorhome.  Their big slide has not worked since the middle of February and they have been very patient with LazyDays and Winnebago in trying to get it fixed.  We walked over to the service department and they were thrilled to hear that the part to fix their slide did make it to Tucson from Tampa LazyDays and they are all set to get the work done at 8 am tomorrow!

We walked around the parts store and then toured some of the new motorhomes talking about what we liked and didn't like.  And then we stopped by the campground office and played a game of foosball.  Bonnie and I both said how we weren't any good at playing foosball but we scored 4 or 5 points before Chuck and Ken scored the first point.  Ken and Chuck couldn't believe it!

The guys did come back to make it a close game but Bonnie and I emerged the winners!

After we returned to our campers, we grilled dinner for the next couple of nights and then sat down to eat dinner together.  Even though it was very windy, the food was delicious.  Bonnie had fixed couscous which is kind of like quinoa or rice.  Chuck and I had never had any but it was very good.

We got back together for our nightly card games.  The boys won both Pinochle and SkipBo tonight.  I guess we had to let them win after defeating them in foosball today.  :)

Tomorrow, we are looking forward to exploring Tucson and the Saguaro National Park!
