Coos Bay to Klamath

We got away from William M. Tugman State Park around 10:30 and headed south again on Hwy 101.

We drove in and out of fog for a lot today...

but still got to see some gorgeous views.  Below are some views of Humbug Mountain on the Oregon coast.

These sea stacks off the Oregon coast were nearly hidden by the low clouds.

As we crossed the Rogue River, we could see a lot of fishing boats.  The fishing must be really good here!

The Oregon Coast from Gold Beach to Brookings, Oregon, was absolutely beautiful.

We crossed the state line into California...

...and were right back in fog again.

We drove past some California farms,

some California beaches,

and then entered one of the many magnificent coastal redwood forests along the California coast.

We drove up about a 6% grade and got up above the clouds...

...and then descended back into fog again.

We decided to stay at Chinook RV Resort in Klamath, California.  The campground backs up to the Klamath River...

... and is a Passport America park.  Full hookups at $15 per night.  Sweet!
