On to Utah

We only had to travel about 150 miles today to Hurricane, Utah; but in our usual efficient pattern, we were out of the campground heading northeast to Utah by 8:00 am.

Fortunately, we made it through the morning rush hour traffic of Las Vegas without any problems.  We stayed on I-15 the rest of the way through Nevada and then a short distance through the northwest corner of Arizona.  But that northwest corner of Arizona is beautiful.

You may remember seeing these same pictures from our blog in October of 2013 when we traveled this Virgin River canyon.   Despite the construction, it is just as beautiful today as it was almost 2 years ago.

Within about 20 miles of the campground, we stopped and filled up with fuel at a Pilot Travel Center in St. George, Utah.  The fuel prices seem to be lower here in Utah which is always a good thing!  :)

After another 16 miles, we reached the campground:  WillowWind RV Resort.  Bonnie had found a $199 per week special on this campground when they first began planning this trip.  WillowWind is a very nice campground with grass (not dirt) between the sites.  It's been along time since we had grass between the lots.

Bonnie and I drove to Kohls in nearby St. George and enjoyed an afternoon of shopping and trying on clothes.  When we returned, the guys had finished washing the motorhomes.  Wow!  Way to go, guys!!!  They also grilled for us and we enjoyed a delicious dinner of grilled asparaghus, yellow and zucchini squash, plus Chuck had salmon fillet and I had a steak.

Instead of playing cards tonight, we enjoyed just sitting outside and talking for awhile.

Another safe trip (thankfully) to our destination and another nice RV park to call home for a few days!
